Role of AJK Police

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Police maintain law and order in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan. They enforce local laws, investigate crimes and guarantee public safety under the AJK government’s jurisdiction.

Their duties include patrolling, emergency response, crime investigation and protecting property. They also engage in community policing to promote trust and cooperation with the public. Requirements for Stenographer / Constable AJK Police Jobs 2024:

Qualification:

• For Stenographer position, Graduation degree from HEC recognized institute is required.
• Matric degree is required for Constable position.

Experience:

• Candidates must have a 06-month diploma in MS Office with 40 words per minute typing speed and expertise in Urdu composing for Stenographer position.
• No experience is required for Constable position.

Age:

• Age limit for stenographer span between 18 to 40 Years.
• Age limit for Constable span between 18-25 Years.

Selection Process for Constable Post:

1. Physical Test:

   • Height Measurement:
     • For Male: Minimum height required is 5 feet 7 inches.
     • For Female: Minimum height required is 5 feet 2 inches.
   • Chest Measurement:
     • Applicable only for male candidates.
   • Running:
     • For Male: Candidates must complete a 1-mile run within 7 minutes.
     • For Female: Candidates must complete a 1-kilometer run within 9 minutes.

   Candidates who meet the physical test requirements will move on to the next stage.

2. Written Test: Candidates who pass the physical test will be invited to take a written examination. This test assesses the candidate’s knowledge, aptitude and suitability for the role.

3. Interview: Candidates who score well on the written test and meet the merit criteria will be called for an interview. The interview evaluates the candidate’s communication skills, problem-solving abilities and overall demeanor.

4. Medical Test: Candidates who pass the interview will undergo a medical examination. This final stage ensures that the candidates are medically fit to perform the duties required of a Constable.
